I have over 19 years of experience in the social work field across clinical practice, higher education, and community settings. I hold a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) degree and currently serve as a social work professor while maintaining a private practice specializing in trauma and couples therapy.

Throughout my career, I have been passionate about mentoring emerging social workers and helping them bridge the gap between theory and practice. My clinical work is rooted in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approaches, with specialized experience in trauma recovery, relationship dynamics, multicultural practice, and work with first-generation and underserved communities.

As a bilingual clinician (English/Spanish), I deeply value creating spaces that honor diversity, cultural humility, and anti-oppressive practice. I view supervision as an opportunity to nurture not only clinical competence but also authenticity, self-awareness, and sustainable professional growth.

My ideal supervisee is an LMSW who is curious, reflective, and genuinely invested in growing, not just completing the hours required for clinical licensure.

You do not need to enter supervision knowing exactly what kind of clinician you want to become. In fact, part of our work together is figuring that out. I enjoy working with social workers who ask questions, are willing to examine their clinical decisions, and can become comfortable saying, “I’m not sure what to do here.”

I am especially drawn to supervisees who value trauma-informed, culturally responsive, strengths-based, and ethical social work practice. I want you to be willing to think beyond diagnosis and technique and remain curious about the larger systems, relationships, identities, cultures, and experiences influencing the people we serve.

My supervision style is supportive and relational, but it is also intentional and accountable. I will celebrate your growth, help you work through difficult cases, and create space for uncertainty and mistakes, but I will also challenge you to think critically, recognize blind spots, strengthen your clinical reasoning, and take increasing ownership of your professional development.
